Terms of use

Quilt Block Atlas is free to use. Its cutting charts are computed, not copied, so you can check them yourself. Do check the first piece of each size against your ruler before you cut the rest.

Check before you cut

Every chart here is generated from the block's grid, not taken from a fixed list of sizes. A generated number is still met by a real ruler, a printer that scales the page, and a seam that runs a little wide or narrow. Measure the first piece of each size, confirm it, then cut the rest.

When a size cannot be cut cleanly, the calculator says so and offers the nearest sizes that can. Use one of those. Do not round a rejected size to something that fits your ruler; the block will finish wrong.

Using the content

The charts, diagrams and guides are here for your own quilting. Print them and cut from them freely, for your own projects or a class you teach. Traditional block names identify the published designs. Histories, alternate names and attributions are omitted until they can be verified; the site's own text and code are the work of Quilt Block Atlas.

No warranty

The measurements are generated by tested formulas and given in good faith, but the site is offered as it is. It cannot guarantee a result in fabric, and it is not responsible for material cut to a size you did not check first. When a number matters, cut one piece and measure it.

Questions about these terms can be sent to support@quiltblockatlas.com.
